calling animal control today

Yesterday donny and I were at his parents house just hanging out. Right before we were leaving we heard his niece say that the raccoons were sticking their heads out of the hole in a roof next door to their house. So we all look out of the window in the kitchen to find two little babies looking out. We saw an adult raccoon last year and called animal control but they gave some crappy excuse of why they were not going to do anything about the animal. So as we were watching the babies and all of a sudden more kept coming out of the hole. Finally EIGHT babies crawled out of the roof and climbed on top house. HOLY CRAP!!! That is beyond crazy, so I told Donny last night that he needs to call pest control right away. This is going to be a big problem when they get bigger, raccoons can become very dangerous animals. They can get rabies for one and they can run up to 15 miles per hour. I am worried about Donny's nieces and nephew not to mention Olivia. Here are a couple of pictures I took of Donny and his dad shooting at the BABIES :( When they came back in the house Olivia says, "Papa please don't shoot the babies... please don't shoot the babies".

the tooth fairy

today olivia got her teeth cleaned by the tooth fairy. it's mandatory for her to get a cleaning within a year before starting preschool. she is going to my sister angie's preschool which is awesome whenever she feels lonely. it's just three hours a day though just to get her started. i was against her going to preschool at first. but she is so smart i would be taking away from her learning experience. at first i wanted to keep her home with me and let her go when she turned four. but when she hit her terrible two's i changed my mind. her father is still on the fence with this one he thinks she is too little to leave me. but i know she is ready. she is the only child and her social skills are not where they need to be.
we were going to take her to the dentist and have her teeth cleaned, but her school had a big fair and they were doing it for free. it's mandatory to get a cleaning within a year before school starts. she was so excited and all she talked about was going to the dentist before we got there. when we got to the school she was seen right away. i was stuck with filling out paperwork while donny watched her and talked to her. when she started cleaning her teeth i started taking pictures like i was the paparazzi. the lady was so nice... olivia was enjoying every moment of it, she even got a magic wand. and at the end she got a sticker which was even better. she went to my sister's classroom and played around for a bit while the other kids were listening to a story. she played outside for a couple of minutes and when i told her it was time to go she threw a shovel out of the sandbox and started screaming. great huh???

was a nice warm day today

olivia and i really didn't do too much today. we got a good walk in and i let her eat ice cream outside. the other day when it was freezing out the ice cream truck came so she got a couple of things and she finally finished them off today. my biggest obstacle after having her is trying to keep my cool and not letting the little things bother me so much. so today was a good day. i am trying to find things for her to do because she has so much energy. so she will be in tumbling and ballet class as soon as some new spots open for her. she also goes to story time at our local library. i didn't realize being a mother would be so lonely and it's so much fun when you have a buddy to get through the tough days. i told my hubby that i want to find another mother to do play dates with and go shopping with. i think she would have to be a stay-at-home mother to make sure our schedules didn't clash. there are a couple of people close to me that are prego so i am hoping that one of them could be my new BFF. i guess i will see what happens. i want olivia to have a little buddy to hang out with so she learns how to be more social. okay this is boring so until next time i guess.
